Wendy spent nine years in academia pushing the boundaries of neuroscientific knowledge before moving to the tech industry as a data leader. She loves building and empowering teams to creatively solve problems in all of their forms.

To grow and empower individuals, teams and organizations so that we can positively impact the world. Methods
Embrace the adventure. Frame challenges as adventures, and get people excited about coming along for the journey. This requires a combination of can-do / yes-and / get-it-done attitude, and the ability to make people feel heard. Connect using empathy and compassion. Listen to people and understand their point of view, with empathy and compassion. Build trust. Experiment. Act quickly. Willing to go with a promising idea and execute an early version without lingering too long or thinking about everything that could go wrong. Know it may not be the right or best solution, but value deeply trying it out, and maintain enthusiasm through its completion. Find a way together. Create in community, and co-create in an open and vulnerable way. Be part of a bigger whole. Ask how, not if. Solve problems creatively and with enthusiasm. Ability to find the boundaries of a system and question or subvert them. Creativity in thinking across domains. Adept at finding connections across disciplines, different parts of life, different ideas, etc. |
